Thunderflash - Orange & Gold

Any pattern that originates in Scotland, travels to Ireland for some "face-lifting" treatment, returns to Scotland for further development and then returns to Ireland to become a classical Grilse fly is indeed worthy of inclusion in any Salmon fishers armoury. The Thunderflash range is indeed the epitome of a modern hairwing Salmon fly, containing a very slim profile and almost anorexic dressing weight. Crystal hair, Maraglit and other bright and flashy winging materials combine to create a pattern which simply glitters with life. It is rightly famous on the rivers in North Western Mayo including the River Moy and has attracted many fans over the past number of seasons from the more notable Scottish rivers.
